Pet Policy & Liability Waiver

We are glad to welcome you and your pet to North Fork Resort. This waiver must be completed and signed at check-in before a pet may stay at the Resort. It applies in addition to the Guest Code of Conduct.

1. Registration, fee & rabies documentation

All pets must be registered at the Welcome Center at check-in. A cleaning fee of $50.00 per pet (excluding taxes) will be applied to your Resort account.

A current rabies vaccination certificate must be provided to the Welcome Center at check-in. If that documentation is not provided at check-in, the pet will not be permitted on Resort property.

2. Dogs only in cottages

Only dogs are permitted in our cottages. Cats are welcome only if you are staying in your own RV and the cat remains inside the RV at all times.

3. Leash & control

Your pet must be under your control at all times and must be leashed whenever outside your cottage or RV — that is, anywhere on Resort property other than inside your own cottage or RV.

Only service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are permitted in the pool area, Recreation Room, and Beachwood Club.

4. Pets may not be left unattended

Pets may not be left unattended in a cottage or vehicle at any time.

Resort staff will service your cottage only when you are present to secure or remove your pet. Staff will not enter a cottage that contains an unrestrained pet.

5. Noise & disruptive behavior

If your pet’s barking, noise, or behavior disturbs other guests, the Resort may require you to correct it immediately, may relocate you to another site, or may require the pet to be removed from the Resort.

A single incident may be sufficient. No prior warning, second complaint, or repeated violation is required before the Resort may act.

6. Aggressive or dangerous behavior

If a pet bites, attacks, threatens or lunges at any person or animal, or otherwise demonstrates dangerous or aggressive behavior, the Resort may require that the animal be removed from Resort property immediately.

Depending on the circumstances, the Resort may also require the registered guest and their party to leave the Resort immediately, without refund of any amount paid.

7. Clean-up

All pet waste must be picked up promptly and disposed of properly.

8. Responsibility, release & indemnity

You accept full responsibility for your pet and agree that the Resort is not responsible for any harm or injury to your pet during your stay.

You agree to hold the Resort harmless should your pet cause bodily injury to any person or animal, or cause property damage, loss, or other liability anywhere on Resort property, including public areas, your cottage, or your lot.

You agree to indemnify the Resort for any loss, liability, damage, cost, or expense arising from the presence or actions of your pet. If carpet, furniture, or furnishings must be cleaned or replaced, you agree to pay all resulting costs and expenses.

Enforcement

The Resort may require a pet to be removed from Resort property, and may require the registered guest and their party to leave immediately without refund of any amount paid, for any violation of this waiver, the Pet Policy, or the Guest Code of Conduct. No prior warning, notice, or repeated violation is required before the Resort may act.
