Guest Check-In Agreements

Guest Code of Conduct

Welcome to North Fork Resort. North Fork Resort is a shared community of guests, cottage owners, families, and staff. The rules below exist so that every guest can enjoy a safe, peaceful, and welcoming stay. Please review this Code with everyone in your party and keep it with you during your visit.

1. Respect for people and property

Treat people and property with respect.

Courtesy toward fellow guests, cottage owners, Resort staff, and vendors is expected at all times. Harassment, abusive or threatening language or behavior, intoxicated or disorderly conduct, and damage to Resort property are not permitted.

2. Responsibility for your party

The registered guest is responsible for the conduct of everyone associated with the reservation — including all occupants, children, visitors, invitees, and pets — and for any damage, loss, or charges they cause.

Every rule in this Code applies to each of them, and the registered guest is responsible for reviewing these rules with the entire party.

3. Quiet hours

Quiet hours are observed from 11:00 PM until 8:00 AM daily.

During quiet hours, please keep music, televisions, voices, and outdoor gatherings at a level that cannot be heard from neighboring cottages or sites.

4. Pool rules

All posted pool rules must be followed at all times. The complete list is provided under "Pool Rules" on your Check-In Registration Form.

5. Pets

All pets must be registered with the Welcome Center at check-in.

Pets must be under the owner’s control at all times and must be leashed whenever outside the cottage or RV. Pets may not be left unattended in a cottage or vehicle at any time.

The complete pet requirements are set out in our Pet Policy and in the Pet Liability Waiver, which must be signed before a pet may stay at the Resort.

6. Speed limit

A 5 mile-per-hour speed limit is in effect throughout the entire Resort — on every road, lane, and parking area, with no exceptions.

7. Supervision of children

Children under the age of twelve (12) must be supervised by an adult eighteen (18) years or older anywhere on Resort property.

Children under the age of twelve (12) may not ride bicycles, scooters, e-bikes, or any other form of transportation unless supervised by an adult eighteen (18) years or older.

8. Helmets required

Anyone riding a bicycle, scooter, or e-bike anywhere on Resort property must wear a helmet.

9. Smoking

Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside all cottages, Resort buildings, and any other enclosed Resort space.

Guests are responsible for the full cost of cleaning and restoration resulting from smoking or vaping indoors, and may be required to leave under the Enforcement section below.

10. Cottage care

Please do not hang wet clothing, bathing suits, or towels on cottage banisters, railings, or porches. A drying rack has been provided for you next to your cottage.

11. Miss May’s — outside food & beverage

No outside food or beverage may be brought into Miss May’s.

12. Parking

Every cottage lot includes two (2) parking spaces. Additional parking requires a parking pass from the Welcome Center and use of the designated overflow parking area.

Vehicles may not be parked on another cottage lot, site, or Resort lot without authorization from the Welcome Center.

Enforcement

North Fork Resort may require any guest, occupant, visitor, or invitee to leave the Resort immediately, without refund of any amount paid, for a serious violation of this Code or any other Resort policy; for unsafe or disruptive conduct; for abusive, harassing, or threatening behavior toward guests, owners, staff, or vendors; for conduct that interferes with other guests’ use and enjoyment of the Resort; or for any conduct that the Resort reasonably determines presents a risk to persons, animals, or property.

No prior warning, notice, or repeated violation is required before the Resort may act, and taking a lesser measure in one instance does not limit the Resort’s right to require immediate departure in any other.

A note from the General Manager

Thank you for helping us keep North Fork Resort a place people are glad to come back to. If you have a question or a concern during your stay, please stop by the Welcome Center or call 631.477.0022.

Warm regards, Kristin Colombo, General Manager
